Ring Sizing

Our ring sizing includes cleaning, polishing, and rhodium plating, if needed. When rings are sized the curvature of the ring changes, loosening the prongs that hold your stones. For your security, we take the extra step to tighten every prong on every stone, no extra charge.

Most jewelers size to the half size, while some size to the quarter size. We are so precise that we size to the 1/8 size.

Chain and Clasp Repair

Chains can break when they get caught on something or after many years of wear. We’ll repair your broken chain and check the remaining links. Chain repair begins at $25.

Prongs, Crowns and Tip Work

Prongs are the metal that holds your diamonds securely in place, and they wear away over time. We add new metal, called retipping. For your security, we’ll sometimes recommend removing and replacing the entire piece that holds your diamond, called a crown.

Missing Diamonds

Diamonds and gemstones fall out due to manufacturing quality, age, or impact. At L&Z Jewelry, we replace compromised prongs and set a similar quality diamond. For your security, we check the tightness of your other stones.

Our cleaning station and jewelry spa is right behind the counter in full view, so we can clean your jewelry when needed to inspect it better. We’ll check that your gemstones or diamonds are secure and tight, and we’ll ask you questions so we can recommend the best repair for you.

If repairs are needed, we’ll give you an exact quote and due date. You don’t need an appointment to have your jewelry cleaned and checked for security. In fact, we recommend having your jewelry cleaned and inspected every six months. Stop by anytime we’re open.

Re-Shanking

The back portion of a ring is called the shank and can crack or break. If the metal is still thick, the damage may be the result of sizing issues, and we’ll repair it. If the metal is thin, we’ll replace it with a new, durable shank for many more years of wear.
